There are a number of different ski passes available in [resname]. Prices vary according to your age, group size, duration, the area(s) you wish to ski and the time of year. Planning ahead can help you make the most of your [resname] ski holiday and hopefully save you some money too. However, if you are planning on having lessons, then it is also worth checking with your ski school beforehand to be sure that you buy the correct pass for your classes.

If you order your passes online and want them delivered to your home, please allow at least 15 days before you're coming to resort. If you'd prefer to collect your ski passes in resort, you can order them online up to four days before you arrive. 

Paradiski Area Ski Passes (Full area)

If you like clocking up the miles and want to explore every inch of the available terrain, then the Paradiski Pass is the choice for you. With unlimited access to 425kms of piste, 144 lifts and two glaciers, anyone of an intermediate ski ability and upwards would undoubtedly get great enjoyment from this pass. It allows you access to the resorts of La Plagne, Peisey-Vallandry and neighbouring Les Arcs. This pass is available from 1 to 15 days duration and there are also passes for 5 and 10 non-consecutive days.

There are some additional advantages included with the Paradiski Pass of 6 days or longer, including an extra half-day of skiing offered for free (which must be used on the afternoon prior to your first full day of skiing)

Ski Areas in [resname]

La Plagne Area Ski Passes (Local area)

The La Plagne Pass is the local area pass that gives you unlimited access to all the lifts in the La Plagne domain including Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Bellecote, Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Aime La Plagne, Plagne Montalbert, Les Coches, Montchavin and Champagny-en-Vanoise. With 225kms of piste, 136 different slopes and an altitude variation from 3,417m to 1,250m this pass is the perfect choice for beginners and also offers plenty of variety for intermediate skiers. It is also possible to pay a small supplement and upgrade this pass to include the full area on a day-by-day basis.

Ski Areas in [resname]

Group ski-passes

Both the Paradiski and La Plagne Pass have discounts available for groups. If you're skiing in a group of two or three people (or more), you can buy a Duo or Tribu ski pass. Your group can be made up of adults or children but all the passes must be bought online, at the same time, for the same ski area and in one payment to receive the discount. Children and seniors will need to show proof of age. 

Group discounts for larger parties of 25 or more are also available but you will need to write to the Ski Pass Office to get a quote. Once you've received your quote, you pay for the passes on arrival in resort. For every 40 passes bought, you get one pass free.

Family Ski Passes

Family lift pass rates are available to two adults and a minimum of two children aged 5 to 17 years. To benefit from the discount, at least four ski passes must be bought at the same time, for the same duration and ski area. You will need to order these passes at least two days in advance of your arrival in resort to allow time for the order to be processed. Children and seniors require proof of age, either at the moment of sale or in resort, and it is the age on the first day of skiing that is taken into account. Family passes are available from 6 to 15 days duration.

Beginners ski-passes

Cool Ski Pass
Beginner ski passes in La Plagne can be bought in resort at one of the Ski Pass Offices. Look out for "Cool Ski" one-day passes which have a fixed day rate for both adults and children and give you access to designated beginner-friendly areas on the mountain. If you're booking lessons with a ski school, check with them to see what passes they offer or which passes they recommend before buying.

Snowpark passes

If you buy a La Plagne ski pass, the snowparks of La Plagne are included in the pass. If you buy a Paradiski ski pass you'll also get access to the snowparks in Les Arcs.

Early and late season
Early and late season discounts are available both on Paradiski and La Plagne ski passes. These are available for 6 to 15 days.

Weekends
There are two different offers available for weekend skiers; the 'Samedi je skie' and 'Dimanche Malin' offers are both available when purchasing a 1 day La Plagne ski pass online. Book before Friday at midnight and save money on your Saturday or Sunday ski pass. You must have a hands-free card to be able to recharge it and there are certain date restrictions for the Sunday pass offer (excludes Christmas/New Year & peak February holiday weeks).

75-year-olds and over
People who are 75 years old and over can ski for free but they still need to purchase a hands-free card for a small fee. Discount available upon presentation of proof of age.

Disabled skiers
Disabled skiers and an accompanying person get 50% off the price of their ski passes, with proof needed of the disability when purchasing two identical ski passes for the same dates and ski area.

Free passes

Children under 5 ski for free and proof of age required will be required at the time you collect the hands-free pass. The age on the first day of skiing is taken into account.

Cross-country ski-passes

Nordic skiing, 'ski de fond' or cross-country skiing is free in La Plagne, so no passes required. You just need the equipment (which you can hire from most of the ski hire shops) lots of water and maybe a few snacks.

Season passes

Season passes can be bought for La Plagne or for the whole of the Paradiski area. These passes always require a photo and there are discounts of up to 20% on the public rates if purchased before 1st December 2020. If you're 75 years or older and still skiing, you get an extra special discount and pay only a negligible amount for the season. These passes can only be bought in resort and will require you to produce a form of ID. Prices may be subject to change and VAT rates so please check at the cash desks.

Pedestrian passes

Many of the lifts in La Plagne are open to pedestrians: Bellecote, Roche de Mio, Funiplagne, Champagny, Lac Noir, Montalbert and Coches télécabines, the La Roche, 1800, Montchavin and Pierres Blanches chairlifts and the Vanoise Express.

Pedestrian rates are available for single or return journeys on these individual lifts, as well as for week long (and season) duration passes, should you want to ride the lifts more frequently. Pedestrian passes cost a flat rate for everyone, regardless of age, and can only be bought at one of the cash desks in resort.

Other passes

Ski a la Carte
The "Ski à la carte" system is an annual subscription valid for the whole winter season. Pay only for what you use, all ski days are billed the next month and there is no need to go to the cash desk. Enjoy discounts of between -10% to -15% on the adult's day rate and up to -40% on Saturdays. In addition, you regularly benefit from promotional days of up to 50% discount. The more you ski the more you save with the 9th, 14th, 19th & 24th day skied only billed at €1!

Ski in Tignes, Val d'Isere, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Peisey-Vallandry, Grand Massif, Les 2 Alpes & Serre-Chevalier with the same card. Subscription costs €29 for adults aged 18 to 64 and children's cards are free with the purchase of an adult's or senior (€15) membership.

Luge passes
The La Plagne resorts have some fantastic prepared toboggan runs for the whole family to enjoy. You can either pay for a single descent or buy a book of 5 tickets. To participate, you must be at least 1.40m tall for the Colorado Luge.
