Nestled in between Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice, this two-star campsite offers access to the whole of the Tarentaise valley.

2. Eden de la Vanoise campsite

Located beneath the ski resort of Les Arcs near to the lake offering access to the Tarentaise valley

With a covered heated swimming pool open all seasons, this three-star campsite is close to plenty of hiking and cycling routes. 

You can stay in your own campervan or motorhome, or rent one of their chalets, mobile homes, a bungalow tent, rent a tent, or bring your own and pitch up. There are around 70 pitches available plus 30+ fully equipped rental bungalows.

Facilities and amenities include:

  • free WiFi across the campsite - 2 hours per week - you can pay for more
  • heated covered swimming pool
  • play area for children - trampoline, bouncy castle
  • table tennis, badminton and volleyball, football table, swing set - equipment available at reception

3. Pierra-Menta campsite, Aime

Pitches, a gîte, stay in a yurt or park up your campervan or motorhome

Located just 4km from Aime in the valley below La Plagne, this campsite benefits from great views of the surrounding mountains.

The site is registered as a 'Gîte de France' and you can stay in one of their little chalets, or pitch up your tent, or drive in your caravan or motorhome or campervan. They also have a large yurt you can book to stay in.

It has a small number of pitches available and you can use their sauna for an extra supplement.

Open from beginning of May to the end of August and in winter too.

Caravaneige de Montchavin, Montcahvin - Les Coches area

4. Caravaneige de Montchavin

Campsite with pitches for tents, mobile home rental and plots for campervans

Located at 1,250m above sea level this small, traditional two-star campsite offers RV and campervan parking, pitches for tents and rental of mobile homes. 

In summer it's a great base for the many hiking trails and mountain bike tracks in the surrounding area, and in winter you've got access to the ski lifts just 300m away.
