Popular with those who are unable to ski safely on the mountain unaided, the Taxi-Ski programme (AKA tandemski) connects you to the slopes via your guide’s skis. Offering excellent control on all slopes, the Tessier bucket seat provides ultimate support via an adjustable harness. Thanks to a specially-designed locking system, chairlifts are now also hassle-free, meaning you can remain seated and in safe hands right to the summit.

Oh, and for a safe and comfortable journey, remember to wrap up warm in your ski or snowboard clothing, gloves and winter boots. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

This company offers a whole host of watersports activities in and around the local area. 

Rafting, hydrospeed, canoe rafting, and Airboat on the Isere and the Doron de Bozel, two magnificent rivers in the Alps. Canyoning in the gorges of the Tarentaise in the Savoie and the Haute Savoie near Lake Annecy.

They can also organise a variety of mountain sports: mountain biking, paragliding, Via Ferrata and adventure assault Course.

4. Salle Omnisports, Plagne Centre

Situated in the heart of Plagne Centre, near the shops, just steps from one of the free shuttle stops, its location makes it particularly easy to access regardless of where you are staying.

The main gym has a stepper, bike, rowing machine and you must be 18 years or over to use the gym.

They also have a climbing wall, a sports hall, two function rooms and a library.

You can play badminton, short tennis, volleyball, handball and basketball in the main sports hall.

Opening times vary throughout the year so best to call in advance and find out when they are open.

5. Super Tyro Zip Line, Aime La Plagne

If you love speed and adrenaline, you will love this zip line that runs for over 600m and reaches speeds of 90 km/h!

Open for summer from early July, the zip line starts just below the Club Med resort in Aime La Plagne and goes all the way to place Perrière in Plagne centre. With a 16% slope at the beginning, it can reach speeds of up to 90km/h.

They offer all the necessary material but, in the winter, bring a pair of gloves and goggles to enjoy the landscape while you reach super speed. You can even enjoy it with your skis or your snowboard attached to your back.

Minimum weight allowed 20kg, maximum 130kg. Booking is not necessary unless for more than 10 people. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 14:00 to 17:00.

Aeroplagne, La Plagne

Take to the skies above La Plagne with a wing above your head. But don't worry...you don't need any experience, as a tandem flight is the best way to try this sport for the first time! 

They offer three different options for paragliding flights, depending on the altitude and the length of flight that the passenger desires varying from 500m to 1300m in altitude and lasting anywhere between 7 and 45 minutes, this is a unique experience that you will not forget. 

For those who love even more of a thrill in the great outdoors then speed riding may be the sport for you! Somewhere between paragliding and freeride skiing, this sport uses skis and a small wing. This activity is open to those who are over 14 years of age and are an intermediate+ skier comfortable on varied terrain.

Your chance to enjoy the mountains after the slopes have closed whilst on your very own skidoo.

Snowmobiling lets you have an unforgettable experience whether you are an expert or a beginner, driving high-quality and comfortable skidoos, under the supervision of experienced guides and safety measures.

Offering you the chance to come and enjoy one-hour of amazing runs through the heart of the mountains after the slopes have closed!

Enjoy all the thrills of motorsports in the snow at over alt. 2000m ... The ultimate sensation of freedom!

It costs 95€ for a skidoo with one or two persons (30€ for a passenger) for an hour.

8. Patinoire (ice rink), La Plagne - Centre

Outdoor ice skating fun for all the family in the resort of Plagne centre

Enjoy some open air ice skating, located in Plagne centre. Adults and children from aged two years are welcome on the ice.

It's a natural ice rink with a section cordoned off for beginners where you can enjoy skating or playing ice hockey with friends. There's also a cosy cottage where you can take a pit stop and enjoy a relaxing drink in the bar and restaurant

Penguins and chairs are available to rent. 

They're open every day throughout the season.

9. Squash Courts in La Plagne

Squash courts can be found in Plagne 1800 and they're open to the public in both winter and summer.

Equipment is provided for you to play, with a deposit of 30€ payable for the rackets. You're not allowed to wear black soled trainers. It costs 5€ to play for each half hour.

Opening dates:

Summer - from early July to the end of August
Winter - from mid December to the end of April.

Opening Hours:

From 17:00 to 19:00 every day.

Open daily from June to September and throughout the winter season months.

Check with the local tourist office for the film programme. Look out for VOST for English speaking films.

The showing times are usually 18:00 and 20:30.
