This stage of the Ice Climbing World Cup takes place at the Tour de Glace in Champagny en Vanoise.

The competition involves climbers trying to reach the top of an ice tower - the higher you get, the more difficult the climb becomes.

The level of strength and skill on display is simply unbelievable, this is a great spectator sport and is free to watch.

Each of the La Plagne resorts, as well as the surrounding villages, holds a number of events throughout the year. Ice climbing competitions and ski races take place in the winter months, in addition to the usual après-ski parties featuring live bands and DJs. The summer, on the other hand, attracts a number of trail running and cycling competitions, as well as live concerts.
