Ski ballet lessons available in La Plagne
Ski ballet is back and La Plagne is jumping on the trend
Next season, ski ballet lessons will be available at a few of the ski schools in La Plagne. The sport, popular in the 1970s and 80s, has recently gone viral thanks to Lindsey Vonn's video dancing on the slopes with Jonny Moseley.
Part of the professional freestyle competitions back in the 70s and 80s and an official FIS and Olympic discipline until 2000, ski ballet's most spectacular discipline was the pair ballet in which two people performed tricks including synchronised jumps, spins and lifts.
