1. Le Matafan Restaurant

Open for lunch and dinner, the Matafan restaurant is in Belle Plagne.

It serves traditional Savoyarde food and is recommended for good grilled meats. Set menus are available. The restaurant is cosy with an open fireplace and a large terrace at the foot of the pistes.

They are open during the winter and summer seasons, non-stop from 11:30 to 22:00.

2. Le Carlina Restaurant

At this restaurant you can enjoy your lunch outside while soaking up the sun.

The hotel and restaurant are located on the pistes of Belle Plagne, with ski-in ski-out access and beautiful views of the Paradiski ski slopes and mountains. Traditional Savoyard cuisine as well as inventive contemporary dishes made from local ingredients. Restaurant Carline offers a varied menu with daily specials, daily pasta specials, meats, salads and a skier's special.

The dining room is warm and cosy with a chalet-style ambience. Open for lunch or dinner.

3. La Cantine Plagne 1800 Restaurant

La Cantine is a popular restaurant in the heart of 1800, best known for its wide selection of pizzas, which make up most of the menu. Easily reached by resort shuttle, it features a cosy, rustic interior that is small but full of character. Advance booking is recommended during busy periods. Prices are very reasonable for the generous pizza sizes, and the friendly, helpful staff add to the welcoming atmosphere.

It's a warm welcome that awaits you in this restaurant from the friendly, dynamic team. Service here, most definitely comes with a smile.  And what can you expect to be served? Well word on the street is "the best pizzas in town" and it seems that few would disagree.

They also do a special, smaller sized "Bambino Pizza" just for kids. There are a few other menu options to choose from - French onion soup, salads, nachos, tartiflette and tapas but let's be honest, with word of mouth this good, you probably want to be eating pizza.

Their great food and reasonable prices means that this restaurant gets very busy, so booking a table ahead is definitely to be recommended, especially if you are a larger group. There is also live music and DJ's playing periodically throughout the week and take out is also available.

La Terrasse Restaurant, Aime 2000 style of cuisine

4. La Terrasse Restaurant

A lively resort restaurant and bar in Aime 2000, located right on the side of the ski slopes. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, pizzas and local specialities such as fondue, raclette and "plancha" (meat cooked at the table on a traditional griddle). Also on the menu, woks, pasta and burgers. It has a large piste-side terrace and is a great place to call in for lunch or après-ski during the winter season.

The atmosphere is fun and friendly, with parties and theme nights during the holiday season. Family friendly, popular with ski instructors, locals and holidaymakers.

Open every day from 08:00 to midnight in winter.

5. La Casa de L'Ours Restaurant

La Casa de L’Ours is a vibrant all-day restaurant, pizzeria, and bar located on the front de neige at Plagne Villages in La Plagne. The menu features hearty, freshly prepared dishes, including wood-grilled meats, homemade pizzas, Savoyard specialties like fondue and raclette, burgers, and crepes. Guests can enjoy a sunny terrace in a warm, cosy setting, while the adjacent pub serves drinks, tapas, and sports, making it ideal for skiers, families, and groups.

They serve a well-priced menu of Savoyard dishes such as cheese fondue and tartiflette, where according to one French reviewer "le touriste n'est pas pris pour un pigeon" ("the tourist is not taken for a pigeon", meaning not ripped off or taken advantage of).

The restaurant has a large terrace, which you can ski/snowboard right up to, or you can access the restaurant from the shopping gallery beside the ESF office.

Open for lunch and dinner in summer and winter.

6. Le Chalet Restaurant

Savoyard cuisine as well as Italian and Tex-Mex dishes.

They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and serve local Savoyard cuisine such as fondue, raclette and pierrade as well as more international dishes such as burgers, woks and spare ribs.

There is a large open plan dining room or a sunny terrace on which to enjoy the panoramic view while you eat.

Open for buffet breakfast (07:30 to 10:00), lunch (12:00 to 14:30) and dinner (21:00 to midnight).

7. La Godille Restaurant

La Godille is a popular mountain restaurant serving hearty Alpine classics such as fondue, tartiflette and raclette, alongside a varied and creative burger menu. Standouts include the house special topped with Reblochon and bacon, or the tasty veggie option featuring a tofu patty. Guests can relax by the cosy fireplace inside or enjoy the sunny terrace when the BBQ is fired up, making La Godille a welcoming spot for a satisfying meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

La Godille is a well-loved restaurant in the heart of Plagne Centre, known for its generous menu and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a comforting tartiflette, a classic fondue or one of their inventive burgers, there’s something here for everyone. 

Choose from a range of burger options including the indulgent Godille burger with Reblochon and bacon, or go veggie with their tofu version. You can dine inside by the cosy fireplace or out on the sunny terrace, where a BBQ sometimes adds to the Alpine charm.

8. La Metairie Restaurant

A chalet-style traditional Alpine restaurant.

Serving hearty Savoyard and French specialities in a cosy environment, including raclette, and pierrade, they also have an extensive wine list.

Open daily throughout the winter season from 11:30 to 22:30.

9. Le Trappeur's Café

Welcomed by Sandrine, you will feel at home in this warm and inviting restaurant with a sun terrace for those warm weather days.  

Serving traditional French brasserie style cuisine you can enjoy a selection of dishes from the lunch menu and a more gourmet menu in the evenings. 

Open daily throughout the winter season for lunch and dinner.

10. La Ferme de César Restaurant

La Ferme de César is a charming, traditional restaurant in the old village of Montchavin-les-Coches at the foot of the La Plagne ski slopes. Housed in an authentic restored farmhouse with a large sunny terrace and wood-burning stove inside, it serves hearty Savoyard and French classics alongside homemade pizzas, brasserie-style dishes and sweet crêpes. It’s ideal for lunch, après-ski or dinner in a cosy Alpine setting with friendly service and regional flavours.

Open for lunch it's in an ideal location at the foot of the ski slopes, so can be accessed easily. It has a bar and terrace for après-ski and children are welcome. Specialities include raclette, fondue, reblochonnade, pizzas, Potée Savoyarde and diots with polenta.

Open in winter from 08:00 and in summer from 10:00. They also serve breakfast in winter.

L'Arlequin Restaurant, Aime 2000 style of cuisine

11. L'Arlequin Restaurant

Their wide ranging menu offers a great range of pizzas and local Savoyard specialities like raclette, fondue and tartiflette. The décor is as much a part of the experience as the food, and the warm welcome from owners Monique and Georges makes it popular with locals and holidaymakers alike. Specialities include creamy risotto with morille mushrooms, Parma ham and scamorza cheese, egg duo with truffle, Rossini beef, scallops with chorizo and aubergines, salmon and beef tartare, or creamy tartiflette.

They also offer chef Benjamin Villain very own menus with the signature dish of the restaurant, La Potence, beef or prawns flambées with whisky or pastis. Unusual twists on classic French dishes and international touches makes this a memorable dining experience - for all the right reasons.

12. Le K2 Restaurant

This chalet-style restaurant is decorated with lots of wooden beams and old knick-knacks for a cosy Alpine ambience.

The large windows and a terrace give out onto panoramic views of the ski slopes.

Only open in winter.

13. Le Refuge Restaurant

Serving a range of typical French dishes, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

Grilled meats are one of their speciality dishes and each table has a copper hood suspended above it so that diners can grill their own meat at the table. As well as sit down meals they also have a takeaway snack service with a wide range of sandwiches and pizzas. 

The adjoining bar is open until 02:00. Open throughout the year.

This restaurant serves a wide menu including pizzas cooked in a wood fire and authentic mountain specialities such as baked Reblochon cheese. They serve wood-fired pizzas, fast lunches, traditional Savoyard dishes for dinner and crepes, hot chocolate and vin chaud in the afternoon. Children are welcome and have their own special menu. The restaurant is located at the foot of the ski pistes in the centre of Les Coches village, easily accessible by skis or on foot.

The owner Chris was formerly a professional sommelier so you can be sure there's good wine to choose from and his wife Odile is known for her authentic Savoyard homecooking.

Open every day in summer and winter, it has a bar and terrace. Open also for breakfast on Saturdays from 07:30.
