This winter, there will be a brand new apres-ski hot spot on the slopes of Les Arcs as the uber-famous La Folie Douce opens its doors on Saturday, December 14th 2019. With locations all around the French Alps, including the Three Valleys, Chamonix, Alpe d'Huez, Val d'Isere and Avoriaz, we just can't wait to see what LFD has in store for our ski area!

Located at the top of the Villards gondola, in Arc 1800, it'll be accessible both by skiers and pedestrians. La Folie Douce in Les Arcs will be a haven for everyone, from families to groups of friends, young and old, with dedicated spaces for children, sports events and, of course, LFD's famous signature entertainment with live music, performances, costumes and lots of champagne spraying.

You can start your Folie Douce experience by stopping for lunch at one of their three restaurants, with menus devised by Chef Franck Mischler. From the gourmet sophistication of La Fruitière to the fast and healthy self-service selection at La Petite Cuisine or some quick snacks at Le Butcher.

In the afternoon, from 14:00, the party starts at the world's most famous apres-ski hub with a breathtaking open-air show featuring aerial performances, live music and professional dancers which will fill the mountain with sound and colour. Then, from 15:00 to 17:00 it's time for the DJ sets playing the latest electronic music. La Folie Douce will close later than all the other restaurants on the slopes, at 19:00, with extended hours until 20:00 on Thursdays.

And all of this in an eco-friendly container. The venue has been designed to blend in seamlessly with the environment, using local materials for its decoration. Waste disposal has also been carefully thought out and includes carton compactors and glass grinders, as well as a significant reduction in plastic use. Even the heating is almost down to zero energy consumption.

Ready for a season (and especially an apres-ski) like no other? Head up to the Villards gondola on Saturday, December 14th for the ultimate opening party that will kick off a winter of fun in Les Arcs and the Paradiski ski area.
