Snow Report 15/12/22
Ho Ho Ho Christmas in the snow! It's that time of year again and we're all on a countdown to the in-resort festivities. Santa hats are on and reindeer onesies are bounding around the resort. The mountain will be filling up with children this weekend, and our Christmas spirit is running high!
After some incredibly freezing cold weather here, down to -18°C last weekend in La Plagne, we’ve got a milder temperature range of between +5°C to -2°C for the next week.
La Plagne got around 5cm of snow last night. We did get the predicted dump of snow last week of around 13cm to top up our base. Depth up top on the glacier at 3000m is now at around 95cm. We are coming in for a relatively warm spell with the freezing point isotherm around 3000 metres on Monday and Tuesday.
Above is the early morning webcam view from Roche de Mio - looks like the sun is going to break through!
