A guide to the town and ski area of La Plagne

Updated

The resort of La Plagne sits between the Mont Blanc and Beaufortain mountain ranges, less than two hours from Chambery Airport.

Made up of a collection of smaller villages rather than one large town, La Plagne offers a range of different styles of accommodation for a variety of budgets. The ski area also has something for everyone and, when connected to neighbouring Les Arcs by the Vanoise Express, forms part of the Paradiski, one of the largest ski areas in the world.

La Plagne is also home to an Olympic Bobsleigh run, the largest ice climbing wall in Europe and facilities that have produced world champions like freestyler Kevin Rolland and slalom king, Julian Lizeroux.

Overall, La Plagne offers some of the most varied and interesting skiing in the Tarentaise at affordable prices.
