Top hotels in La Plagne for winter

La Plagne is renowned as being a family friendly resort, with a good selection of beginner pistes and ski areas, as well as those for the more advanced skier or snowboarder.

Instead of being one large resort, La Plagne is actually made up of a number of different villages, each with their own character and ambience. They are linked together by ski lifts and public transport.

Whilst most of the accommodation you'll find in La Plagne comes in the form of chalets and apartments, there are also a number of hotels, most of which have ski-in / ski-out access. These tend to be centred around Belle Plagne, Plagne Centre and 1800 although you will find hotels down on the valley floor in Aime, over in Champagny and towards the neighbouring resort of Les Arcs.

Luxury hotels

Araucaria Hotel, Plagne Centre double bedroom

There are just a handful of four-star hotels to choose from in La Plagne. Hotel Araucaria has its own spa and a great location at the foot of the pistes in Plagne Centre. It was also recently refurbished in a cosy contemporary alpine style.

The Hotel Carlina, modern but with more of a nod to chalet style, is located in the popular and scenic Belle Plagne part of the resort.

Group-friendly hotels

Action Outdoors - UCPA, La Plagne bedroom

The UCPA in Plagne Centre is one of the most finely fitted out in the UCPA portfolio, having just undergone a large-scale renovation. It can accommodate 240 people in four-person or twin rooms, and they also offer an all-inclusive package and entertainment programme.

Another great option for groups is an aparthotel, where accommodation is in self-catered apartments with some hotel facilities on site.

Hotels on a budget

Le Chalet du Friolin, Montchavin double bedroom

La Plagne offers a good choice of hotels at the mid to lower end of the price range, including the Vacances Blueus Hotel which you can find in Belle Plagne.

Over in Montchavin is the rather cosy chalet style Chalet du Friolin, which only has five bedrooms, perfect if you're looking for a little more peace and quiet.

Family-friendy hotels

A fun-filled few days in La Plagne

Club Med in Aime 2000 is perfect for families, offering all inclusive holidays, an entertainment programme, a great indoor spa area and excellent facilities.
