Cafes and bakeries

As in any French village or town you're never far from a bakery serving fantastic cakes, pastries and a morning baguette sometimes served with a coffee.

French restaurants

Throughout the resorts you'll easily find a French restaurant to suit both your taste buds and your budget, whether it's homemade Savoyarde specials in a cosy rustic bolthole, or a light airy modern gourmet experience with a wine list and dessert menu to die for.

Italian and pizza restaurants

Mediterranean restaurants

You'll find places with stone-baked ovens serving pizza classics, and many of the local French restaurants also do good pizza and pasta, and there are some good pizza takeaways.

You’ll find plenty of places for steaks, burgers and BBQ. Expect generous burgers topped with local cheeses, veggie options and family-friendly menus with smaller portions for children. Rustic mountain spots serve aged steaks, ribs and grilled duck, while some let you cook your own meat on a hot stone or in a wooden grill hut. Higher terraces mix hearty BBQ with après-ski, music and views, while cosy cafés offer simple burgers, pizzas and fries.
